REAMCO Chooses Harpersville for $13.8 Million Investment and 72 Jobs
Harpersville has landed a manufacturing investment with the potential to strengthen the local workforce and bring new life to an existing industrial building. REAMCO, an electrical engineering and equipment manufacturer, announced plans to invest $13.8 million and hire 72 workers over three years.
Investing in an Existing Facility
The company plans to acquire a building in Harpersville and invest more than $7 million in equipment and improvements. The work is expected to be completed by March 2027. The plan makes use of an existing site rather than starting from undeveloped land.
What REAMCO Does
REAMCO supplies electrical engineering products and services for cement plants, metal manufacturers and utility companies. Its customer reach extends beyond Alabama into Florida, Tennessee and Texas, with sales representatives across the Southeast.
Why East Alabama Should Pay Attention
Manufacturing jobs support households, local retailers and service businesses. The announced hiring is a projection, not jobs already filled, but the investment is a significant vote of confidence in Harpersville’s industrial potential.
