Coosa Cafe & Creamery Brings Coffee, Sweet Treats and Local Hospitality to Cropwell

A welcoming place to enjoy a cup of coffee, a quick lunch or a scoop of ice cream has quickly become a popular stop in the Cropwell community.

Located at 10140 U.S. Highway 231 in Cropwell, Coosa Cafe & Creamery combines the comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood café with the fun of a traditional ice-cream shop. The café offers dine-in service and a drive-through, making it convenient for customers heading to work, spending a day around Logan Martin Lake or simply looking for a relaxed place to meet with friends.

Meet the Owners

Coosa Cafe & Creamery is owned by Tami and Matt Kronen, who are also behind the original Coosa Creamery and Piece of the Pie at Coosa Island Marina. The original creamery began as a lakefront destination for hand-scooped ice cream, and the newer café expanded that idea into a full coffee, breakfast and lunch experience.

Coffee, Breakfast and Lunch

The menu offers much more than ice cream. Customers can choose from hot and iced coffees, flavored lattes, frappes and specialty drinks, along with homemade muffins, pastries, sandwiches and other breakfast and lunch selections. Menu choices range from sweet specialty drinks to generously prepared sandwiches with meats, cheeses, vegetables and house-style sauces.

Keeping the Ice Cream Tradition Going

Ice cream remains an important part of the business. Coosa Creamery built its following by serving hand-scooped ice cream and frozen treats to residents and visitors around Logan Martin Lake. Coosa Cafe & Creamery carries that tradition into its Highway 231 location while giving customers even more reasons to stop throughout the day.

The homemade muffins, pastries, ice cream and lunch selections have also helped the café earn a reputation as a local hidden gem rather than another ordinary chain coffee shop.
